Changes!
Good Morning from the purple mountains this morning. I am hoping that the day brings you sunshine and flowers to enjoy.
The topic of this blog has to do with a couple of questions all Advisors’ are asked over and over and they are:
"Can you tell me if there are going to be any changes in my life that will make me happy or is there going to be anyone for me in my life that I will be happy with?" Most of the time the questions we hear are a variation of that type of inquiry. They all have to do with change and if change is coming.
These types of questions are the most difficult to answer. They depend on whether you will find the strength to make the necessary changes in your life and draw the things you need and want into your life. It is not always cut and dried for the future is fluid. You are the master of your fate.
Is it possible to wake up every day inspired and passionate about life? Absolutely!
Our beliefs are just thoughts that we think over and over again until they become ingrained in us. They’re not real, but we’ve programmed ourselves to think that they are. When you change these beliefs, you can change your life.
When you let fear rule your life and take charge of the decisions then that fear binds you to your fate. When you find the courage to make choices that will challenge those fears then your true destiny will open up like a flower for you. If you let fear create your life then you are living a "fated life" and have not begun to seek your true destiny. That is the main difference between Fate and Destiny.
When the child in you looks for your emotional and spiritual needs to be met from the outside, that’s the child within that is asking for healing.
What are you afraid of doing . . . or being? You need to find new strategies for moving beyond the things that hold you back in life. This will involve exploring the roots of your fears and doubts, and looking for clues how to find your path to greater self-confidence and self-awareness.
Are you predictable or spontaneous? Do you have a mind that’s open to everything and attached to nothing? Think in the moment—now!
Do you accept invitations and really don’t want to participate? Do you put other people before you? I encourage you to be more truthful with your feelings, and put your energy into things that make you feel good.
Circumstance-driven control is an attempt to respond to real and objective life circumstances with appropriate and proportionate responses. If your job is in danger, figuring out how not to displease your boss is an example of circumstance-driven control. Likewise, if you're overweight, watching what you eat and exercising a flabby body is also an example of responding to real and objective life circumstances. Circumstance-driven control is not only normal and smart, it's probably instinctual.
Insecurity-driven control, on the other hand, has less to do with actual, external events, and everything to do with our interpretation of these events or an anticipation of events that may or may not occur. If, for example, you find yourself worrying that you might catch the flu, even though you’re perfectly healthy and symptom free. This would be an example of trying to control by worrying, anticipating and perhaps becoming a bit phobic, attempting to avoid germs. This is insecurity-driven control. It has to do with your insecurity telling you, “What if I catch the flu? What would I do? I just can’t handle getting sick!” It has nothing to do with being sick and everything to do with your insecure "what-iffing."
Is it possible that we might move past any ailments or injuries that we are currently suffering from and into a healthier mind, body and spirit? The next person we talk with might be able to help us move in that direction by facilitating the healing process.
Believe that what you desire is attainable. Most people go through life never awakened to the power of their own thinking. Get clear on what you want. Ask the universe for it and, here's the important part, expect it. Intend to manifest it. See it, hear it, feel it. Move in the direction of the reality you desire.
If you could flip a coin and perhaps have what you want or not flip the coin and stay with what you've got what would you do? Really, we have everything to gain and nothing to lose by believing that life is, despite temporary obstacles or intrusions, always improving and everyone we interact with is in a position to help.
If we're capable of accepting this idea, then we'll begin to understand how our perceptions influence other people? Do we facilitate their dreams with our perceptions or do we project presumptive limitations onto them?
Wishing you joy and abundance this day!
