Teachers Of Compassion

Before you rush pass that homeless woman on the strees, pretending as if you do not see her, stop and feel.
Dig deep into your heart and soul.

Neither you nor I have walked in her shoes. We do not know her life story, or the pains she has suffered.
We do not know why she is forced to face the humiliation of begging strangers on the street covered in dirty, torn clothes.

No little girl or boy ever said I want to beg for my dinner when I grow up.

The evolution of the human race is going to require much compassion, brother hood, and sharing.

Its so much harder to open our hears and feel.

Are we the ones who need to learn?

All the people in Japan suffering incredible loss, sorrow, and pain.
All the people without clean drinking water in Kenya.
All those in need of food and shelter in our own Country.

Have these souls incarnated to teach us to have compassion? To teach us of brotherhood?
Have they chosen this life of suffering to be the teachers of compassion?

Especially now, when so many things must change for there to be a better world?

Are they the great teachers, and we….
Only the students?

It is easy to close off our hearts and keep walking.
But, this will not bring us more love and kindness, in our streets, our neighborhood, across the globe.

One thing I do know about people. We need each other.
These crisis’s so many are now facing, with the media showing us all the pain in the world daily….this is our greatest opportunity to learn.

Just as you and I need kindness, compassion, and a helping hand….so do our brothers.

If we save each other, we save the world.

Peace and Blessings,

Ghost Cats, Wild Flowers, Mothers: The Loving and the Wicked

When my mother was in her early 20's she had her first Clairvoyant Vision. She was watching TV, and suddenly, the image on the screen changed. She saw her one true love making love to another woman in his apartment.

Being the middle of the day, this did not make sense. He should have been in his office. She picked up her keys, got in a cab, and went to his apartment. Using her key, she opened the door, found it was true. Her lover and mistress pathetically trying to cover themselves with sheets while her hear broke in two.

After that, she denied her Gift as much as possible. She was afraid of what she would see.
But, the Gift refused to go away.

All mothers have eyes in the back of their heads. mother just had a third. Growing up, I got away with nothing. You did not mess with mama, she knew what you were really doing. A midnight vision during a hurricane of my father drowning saved his life when I was a child. Her warning not to go to a teen party once saved my life.

She was never afraid of Ghost. We both saw them. For years, we lived with a Spirit, a lady named Katherine. My mother was very comfortable with her apparition strolling though the living room. She would simply say in a friendly voice, "Oh, Katherine is here."

At nine, I was petrified. I would run to hide under the bed, shaking.

My mother would come over, lift up the lift up the bed skirt and say: "What's wrong, are afraid of the little Ghosty-Wosty?" This was her way of teaching me not to be afraid of what I saw.

We had a very intimidating male Spirit who was very come around a few years later. I had learned not to be afraid, but, this one was menacing. He scared me in death, and I'm sure she would have in life.

One night as mother was cooking in the kitchen and he appeared right next to her. Without missing a beat, she says: "Look, my feet hurt, I am trying to make dinner, finish cleaning the house and explain math to this kid before bed time!  NOW GET OUT OF MY KITCHEN BEFORE I..." And she lifted the cast iron skillet in her hand over his head.

We never saw him again.

There was no one like mom. She raised me single handedly; blood, sweat and tears. She was strong and kind.. Part Mohawk warrior, all woman, and the biggest heart heart you will ever find....she would cry for the sorrow of strangers. She thought for herself and always did things her own way. She always grew where the wind blew her, and made something beautiful where ever she landed. Like a wild flower.

My mother has an extraordinary relationship with cats. Anytime she moved, or, even went camping, a stray cat would show up and she would adopt it. She never turned a cat away, no matter how mangy, how sick, or how wild. I grew up in a house with 19 cats and one parakeet.

I lost her a few years ago.
When she decided to cross over, she had been in the hospital for a few days with pneumonia. She called me one morning and said: "Michelle, I see cats."

"Cats?"

"Are they scary, mom? Did you tell the doctors?"

"No, they are not scary! They are cats! If I tell the doctors they will think I am crazy. Michelle, Im not crazy, I am dying."

She passed a few hours later. They say your loved ones come for you when you are getting ready to pass. I think for my mom, the cats came first.

That still makes me smile.

She was like no on else. She refused a priest at her funeral. She thought we all had the ability to talk to God. I had the ceremony by a pagoda, in the grass. We sat in a circle and told stories. I played her favorite songs, we laughed and cried. We did it in a way she would have liked.

Instead of ashes, I gave everyone a packet of wild flower seeds to scatter when they came across a place that needed some of her beauty in the world.

Your Mother: Love her, hate her, refuse to speak to her, it does not matter.
The day will come when you will realize this woman had a stronger impact on you than anyone else, for good, or ill.

By no means want to give the impression that my mother and I had the perfect relationship. There were times when the phone rang, and I thought," Oh, God, its HER again!"
There were times when the phone rang and I thought: "Great. Its Jerry Springer. Someone told him about us!"

But, even though Great Spirit does give all mothers eyes in the back of their heads, he does not make any into a Saint upon giving birth. They have the same problems before, and sometimes even more, after we enter their lives.

Who they are when you are born is no reflection upon YOU, not even how HOW MUCH THEY LOVE YOU. If they were selfish, mean, cold, or abusive before you came along...they learned those things from the pain of life. We learn these things from fear and pain.

No one gave them a Halo when you, as a perfect infant were placed in their arms. You were the only one in the room with a Halo.

But, please, if you can, forgive them for being human, for being wrong, for having too many problems, say something nice, do something nice. Even if, just for this one day.

Because when they are gone, you are the one who will live with that memories, and the legacy. Make as many good memories as you can. Forgive all you can. The more black stuff take out of our hearts, the more room there is for pretty colors, and pretty thoughts.

No, it will not make her perfect. And, it probably will not make it better. But, one day you will wake up, and be able to say: "I TRIED." And, that, more than her legacy, will define who you are.

Maybe those colors won't be for her....but, they will be there for someone else who will love you the way you always wanted to be loved.

I will be gone for a few hours this weekend to scatter wild flower seeds.

Many Blessings,

Prayers for the People of Korea

I would like to propose that we all take a moment to pray for the people—-all the people of Korea today, and everyday.

I have seen so many miracles in my life, and so many prayers answered. The more prayers we send out for these people, the better chance they have. We cannot do much for them, but we can  pray.

Peace on Earth Starts Here.

May they have safety, peace, abundance, health, and a much better future.  Starting now.

Many Blessings to ALL,

Madea-Michelle

Signs from you Angels

This is one of my favorite ways to get direction from Great Spirit and the Angels.

Anyone can do it.
It is your divine right. We are all part of, and connected to, the divine.

When you have a situation you do not know the solution too, or are not sure which path to take, just ask for a sign.

I use prayer to ask for my signs, just because prayer is what works best for me. You can ask in anyway that is comfortable for you. You can ask for a sign out loud, whisper your request, or state it firmly in your mind.

Your angels will hear you.

I do have to warn you, you may not like the answer you get. Please be sure you are ready to know the answer before you ask.

The Angels will do their best to help you in anyway they can. If you ask for something will bring it too you. Please be open to the answer they bring, their only desire is to help you.

Most of my signs come to me from the animal world. A feather in in the road means I am on the right path. An unexpected visit from squirrel means I need to start saving my nuts (money) for a rainy day. Flies around me mean there is someone suspicious near me. Crows, mean change. The more crows, the bigger the change. My angels give me signs from the animal kingdom, because they know that is where I keep my lookout for signs.

Your Angels know you just as well, and will use means in your daily life to bring you a sign. A name on a license plate, phone call out of the blue with some helpful advice (Spirit often works though people). An overheard conversation by two strangers.

You really never know.
But, if you ask, the sign will come.

The hard part is being open to the answers. If you have a block here, the key is to have an open mind. Also, remember that all Angel messages come from a place of love.

The more you ask, the more signs you will receive from your Angels. Once they know you are listening, they will try to communicate with you more.

Oh, and do not forget to say thank you for your signs when you receive them. Doing so strengthens your rapport with your angels.

There is a great book on the subject by Denise Linn called The Secret Language of Signs.

A Visit from Mother Mary

A Visit from Mother Mary

Like millions of woman all over the world, I am always “Doing.” There is a stack of Spiritual books by my bed four piles deep. I am constantly learning. I am always reading, absorbing, and now even teaching Cliarivoyance, Meditation, Aura Healing, Angel communication….

Anything to take lets people see the wall that divides us from the Great Divine is only an illusion.

This is all to make me a better psychic, and yes, to bring me a little closer to the divine, and the beauty of it, to touch it, feel it, and breath it…and share it with others.

The other day while sitting in meditation, I had my first visitation by Mother Mary. (Yes, it surprised me too).

She IS love wisdom, she IS unconditional mother love to all….that is the only way I can describe her. Words Escape me here….the indescribable beauty of complete, total, unconditional love.

I asked her one question: “If you would have me do one thing, what would it be?”
And she said “I would have you always live in peace, and show compassion to ALL living things at all times.” (Animal, human and plant.)

And that was it.

A deeply loving and moving answer from a highly Exalted Spiritual Being. I have been so busy doing, reading, teaching, …..trying to make the world a better place this way, by DOING…..
This is how I was trying to express my spirituality.

And being so focused on that I have not been truly aware have on the living creatures around me. The ones who can immediately befitting from my attention and compassion. Plant, animal, parent….

Now, I look at how I am living, the small steps, the kind words to angry people, taking care of the bamboo plants, caring for as many animals in all way possible…..forgiving family members, or just understanding it is thier unhapiness makes them this way. Finding a place of understanding for others in our hearts, instead of a place of judgement.

It sound so easy, because it is so simple in thought. But, its not simple. Its much easier to write and read and study, and go and do…..than to find peace, sit in peace, and make each act one of compassion….

To forgive your parents, keep yourself from yelling at the dog, be gentle with the bamboo plants…….
To be holistically focused, instead of self focused.

And, she is right. We can write as many books as we want and do as many readings as we we have energy for, all in the name of Spirituality…..but, what she speaks of, that is truly Exalted Living.

The answer sounds so simple, such a small thing, and yet such a challenge to practice.

And if we all did it…imagine how we would change the world. With simple acts.

May we all find out way to peace and compassion.

Many Blessings,
Madea-Michelle

Never Underestimate the Power of your Good Deeds

You are a Powerful Being of Light.

A kind word,
A smile in the grocery store,
A donation to the local animal shelter.

It takes one moment, and it lights up a world that sometimes feels like such a dark place.

You are not creating the light that lights up the world.

You are a Being of Light.
The light is within.
Let it shine.

Strangers have changed my life,
Changed my path,
Even, changed me.

The man who pulled over to share his cell phone and a cigarette when my car caught on fire on the LA freeway.
The Tarot reader who took all my calls when I was very suddenly dumped.
The woman who offered me a cool drink, a warm hug, and a prayer when she saw me tearfully scattering ashes my grandmother's ashes....alone.

I will never see any of these people again. I only got to thank them once.
They probably do not even remember me.
And I am sure they do not have any idea what an impact they made of my life.

Each one shined their light for me when all I could see was darkness.

And even more than that,
They reaffirmed my faith in the goodness humanity.
And that is a very powerful thing....
Because it made me want to do more good by others.

You are a powerful being,
Your are a being of spirit,
You are a being of light...
Shine.
