Poltergeists!
An interesting phenomenon has occurred in one of my client’s life which I am relaying here with her permission. To protect her privacy I will call her by a pet name of mine Pansy. She is divorced and the Mother of three teenage daughters and the youngest was just turning 13 when this story begins, the other two are 15 and 17. Pansy is both Mother and Father to her teens for she gets very little support from their Father who conveniently moved to Europe after their divorce.
When I first became aware of the problems that Pansy was experiencing the activity in their home had already progressed to the point that they were hearing strange knocking on the ceiling of their home at all hours of the night. Dishes appeared to rattle in the cupboards and books would fly out of the bookcase when no one was around them. Pansy tried smudging, putting sea salt on every window and although I tried I could not find any discarnate’s that were occupying her home at that time. I finally decided that the problem was attributed to Poltergeist. Pansy had decided to also call the family priest to bless the house.
"Poltergeist" is a German term for "noisy spirit".... which is an excellent description for this frightening phenomenon. This kind of paranormal activity has made many victims literally run for their lives, completely abandoning their homes and possessions!
Equally as frightening is the fact that this type of activity is relatively commonplace. Many people in normal households have experienced it.
In the scientific world, Poltergeists are generally portrayed as malevolent, disruptive, mischievous, and unusually noisy and unwelcome entities - and rightfully so!
This type of paranormal activity has been reported since Medieval times, and to this day scientists (yes, even scientists acknowledge them) are debating the causes of Poltergeist activity occurrences.
Characteristic activities may include flying objects, foul odors, loud noises, banging, pounding, unexplained electrical light activities.....and even apparitions.
Recently independent research has shed a little light on this odd phenomenon. The general consensus is that the cause may actually be the result of subconscious psychokinesis.
Psychokinesis is essentially a mind-over-matter situation that is unintentional....and is delivered involuntarily by an entity at the site of the activity.
The research revealed that many suspected "poltergeist cases" are caused by females under the age of 25, who are completely unaware that they are causing this type of activity. Emotional problems which include emotions such as anger, anxiety, paranoia, and schizophrenia have been attributed to poltergeist activity in the cases.
With psychological help the activities may diminish or even disappear completely with time.
Although the majority of the poltergeist cases are associated with unstable teens and young adults there are a few cases that remain unexplainable. One of the more famous incidents was a reporting in the United States and widely written about called the "Bell Witch Haunting". There are many references to this story on Google and it is well documented. It has been referred to as the Great American Haunting.
Therefore, it appears that Poltergeist activity is usually, (but not always) not related to hauntings. Poltergeist activity can occur at any time and can be triggered by a "living" person's trauma, while hauntings are usually associated with entities who are deceased.
Poltergeist activity can be dangerous, both physically and mentally, and often leaving the site of the activity does not make it go away, as the problem persists even with new surroundings. The best way to overcome the activity is first to try and identify who is the center of the activity.
In Pansy's case it was decided that the most likely person was the 13 year old who was just entering into puberty and who was harboring deep anger towards her Father for abandoning the family.
The combined anger and the hormonal changes within the girl had erupted into a full blown case of suspected Poltergeist activity. Much of the phenomenon was filmed and recorded before Pansy finally was convinced to have her daughter enter a clinic for counseling. While it was occurring the entire household did not get any sleep most of the time except the 13 year old who would sleep long hours and it was during those times when she was asleep that the most disruptive occurrences happened.
Dishes were flung across the Kitchen like missiles directed at specific targets. Books became deadly weapons and Pansy was unable to go to work out of fear the problems would follow her.
On one occasion that I witnessed, the family invited me to join them for dinner. We went out to eat at a small restaurant in a nearby town and during the course of the meal the entire restaurant was practically demolished. Later Pansy felt obligated to help the owner make the repairs even though she had not caused it. Dishes were hurled around in the kitchen, pots and pans were suspended in mid-air and a complete wall in the back of the restaurant crumbled. It was a complete disaster scene.
That was the turning point when Pansy decided that her daughter’s problems had become so disruptive that she was capable of inflicting great harm.
Over the course of the next two years the family suffered great indignities. The older daughter entered College and some activity followed her there. She was able to dismiss it and continued in school.
The middle daughter was ridiculed so much at school, due to the events that surrounded the family, that Pansy had to remove her from the high school at the request of the Superintendent of the School. Pansy had to have her home schooled until graduation. She became very upset with her younger sister which compounded the activity as it added fuel to the fire so to speak. When she entered college the activity stopped. The younger daughter had stabilized and the household returned to relative normality with just a few occasions of disruptions until they finally ceased altogether.
Although normalancy returned to the family the violence of the activity left them traumatized for life and the two older girls remain estranged from the younger girl and have very little to do with her to this day. This is so very unfortunate for she was totally unaware of what her mind was producing especially since it occurred primarily when she was asleep.
She has a tested IQ of over 160 points. She is considered to be in the classification of genius.
Her studies are directed to the paranormal now and she has become a wonderfully well adjusted young adult. She is writing a book about the occurrences as we speak.
She continues to live with her Mother Pansy and they moved to a small home in the country where all is well so far.
No one is able to totally agree on the causative factors that lead to a cause of Poltergeist activity but I have witnessed three cases in my lifetime and I hope I will not have the pleasure of seeing any more. Although I never could find any discarnate’s involved in Pansy's case in one of the other cases there was definite evidence of a malevolent discarnate that was manipulating a young girl.
That particular case was later classified as an unsolvable Poltergeist case like the Bell Witch Haunting. However when the home where the activity was burned down all of the activity ceased.
I hope you enjoyed this story and if any of you have ever witnessed such activity I hope you will comment and let us all know about it.
Blessings to you on this Joyous Monday. I hope your day is filled with adventure.
